Bull Shoals Tailwater - October 10, 2010
Here's the pic of that White River gator we hooked streamer fishing early one evening last week. We were stripping some big junk! Forrest Smith www.troutandtimber.com Awesome fish, Forrest! Norfork Tailwater - September 14, 2010
Thursday, I fished with country singer Luke Bryan and songwriter Dallas Davidson on the Norfork in the pouring rain. I met their tour bus in Mountain Home, and even though it had been dumping rain all night, we decided to take our chances and try to find some clean water to fish somewhere. I was less than optimistic, but these guys had made a special detour on their way from playing Oxford, Mississippi Wednesday night to their show in Fayetteville Thursday night to fish the White River system, so we decided to give it a shot. While Luke and Dallas...
Bull Shoals Tailwater - August 24, 2010
Bull Shoals Dam shut off last night and stayed off 'til noon! The fish are fat and stupid right now, so get over there as soon as you can. They will eat just about anything, but scuds and sowbugs were hot. And about one out of ten fish blew up on my hopper indicator! Colorado - August 20, 2010
Hey guys! I recently fished some high mountain lakes in the Silverton, CO area. A couple friends and I backpacked in for a few days of incredible brookie and cutthroat fishing. As always, I wore my lucky McLellan's hat. As always, it didn't let me down. I thought you guys might enjoy a few photos. Look me up the next time you make a trip out to the Juan! Tight lines, Gordon Miller
Texas Coast - August 11, 2010
Here are some pics from our last week in Corpus Christi. We put in at the Padre Island National Seashore and ran down the inter-coastal to an area called the Landcut. The tide was ripping through the cut because of offshore tropical storms, but we were still able to get out and find some fish. They weren't as concentrated as they have been in years past because of the unusual high waters, but casting to tails and wakes was the reward that came from our marathon wades. The redfish we found in shallow water were spooky, yet they were more...
