Visited the Little Red River for the weekend and had two great days of fishing! This time of the year, the name of the game is small and slow. We fished some pretty tight water with small flies, size 20 olive midges and Red Ass soft hackles. The shoals and riffles were pretty crowded with other anglers, so we fished the less obvious holding water, concentrating on the slower moving holes and deeper water. For more information on our trip visit our website tosfly. Mike, thanks for all the advice on the Little Redit all paid off! Justin F. Thanks...

Let me start by saying that the Louisiana marsh was on fire with fish! Saw plenty of pigs in the 20-30 pound range, but they were rather spooky. posted in Trout on Wed, November 10, 2010 We are still enjoying consistent low water and great fishing at Beaver Tailwater! Check out this FAT rainbow Jared caught this past weekend! Small midges and egg patterns are working well, but also try large streamers in the deeper pools. Thanks for the pic, Jared, and congrats on a nice bow!

Mike K. sent these pics in from a recent trip to Beaver. He and his buddies hooked several quality browns and rainbows primarily on midges and egg patterns. The fishing has been very good below Beaver Dam lately with the bigger browns moving up out of the deeper water in their pre-spawn stage. However, some fish are already digging redds, so be sure to avoid wading through or fishing over the clean, oval depressions in the shallow gravel areas. Congratulations guys on some awesome fish, and thanks again for sending in the pics!
