Norfork Tailwater - February 9, 2009
I had a great day on the Norfork on Saturday. We walked in from Ackerman's all the way to the top of the catch and release section and had it to ourselves. I caught fish on everything that I tried...zebra midge, olive scuds (16), sow bugs and did especially well in the moving water on a soft hackle, including a legitimate 18" rainbow. The windwas pretty strong producing a lot of wave action and I ended up throwing a small pine squirrel / marabou streamer under an indicator in black and did best on it. I was only a brook...

Ozark Smallmouth: Spring 2006 Review
After the long, ugly drought, we finally got some good flows on the local rivers. We even found water big enough for the drift boat. It doesn’t get much better than bassin’ from the Clacka! Spring ’06 also saw the debut of the new Keen Wading Shoe from Simms. Be prepared… If this cute little guy doesn’t end up in a frying pan over the next several years, he just might look like this.
