White bass! Over the past couple of weeks, the white bass fishing has been great in the Twin Bridges Area! Both Richland Creek and the White have been providing good action for whites, walleye and hybrids! Clouser Minnows in bright colors like chartreuse are still working well, but over the last couple of days (as the water has cleared) grey and white as well as all white Clousers have been hooking the most fish. In the midst of the White Bass run, I have had smallmouth on my mind (go figure). Therefore, I twisted a few arms to come with me up to the Elk for an afternoon float in search of some Smallie action. Turns out, we found it, and there were a lot of big fish in the river. Although we didn't land anything huge, we did get several fish this size to the boat, as well as quite a few more smaller ones. We are getting more and more reports of White Bass being caught around the Twin Bridges! Scott sent us these the other day with a report: "I fished the mouth of Richland Creek today using a size 6 clouser minnow, blue/chartreuse. Caught about a dozen or so small males." Thanks for the report, Scott! Get out there and fish when you can!

ALERT!!! Stop everything you are doing and go White Bass fishing! With the warm winter we have had, the water temperatures at Twin Bridges and nearby tributaries are near 56 degrees already, and the Whites have been charging up the river by the droves. Stephen sent us this picture of a small male, and reported that he caught around 15 more fish, as well as some nice walleye.
