I just received this smallmouth report from David: "Hey man, hope you had a blast in Mexico. The dry-fly fishing at Taneycomo was great today! My buddy Loren and I drove up there early to get in a half day of fishing, and it was well worth the trip! We caught several feisty rainbows on Turk’s Tarantulas and various beetle patterns—black seemed to be their favorite color!

There has been lots of low, wadeable water below most of the White River System Dams over the past few weeks, so Theresa and I took a day to wade in below Bull Shoals Dam, and we hammered the trout on everything from miniscule midge pupa to huge hoppers! If you get a chance to head to any of our area tailwaters, it’s well worth the trip—the fishing is on fire! One of the many feisty browns we caught on black foam ants! Revived and ready for release. If you haven't checked the water conditions in the last couple of weeks, you may not have noticed that Bull Shoals has been giving up several full weekends worth of low water, as well as the Norfork! The fishing has been stellar, with many solid browns, cutties, and rainbows coming to hand on caddis pupa patterns, various midges, and even caddis dries when the hatch really kicks off!
