A River in the Ozarks - June 8, 2011

FAT cutthroat!

As evidenced by these photos from recent guide trips with Forrest Smith, the smallmouth and high-water trout fishing has been superb lately! Floodgates and cicadas! In spite of all the high water on our tailwaters, the dry fly fishing has been very good with big cicada patterns! Dry fly double! Beautiful brown! Another big dry fly cutthroat! Nice smallie! The smallmouth rivers are in great shape, and the post-spawn fish have been hammering Clouser Minnows, Wiggle Minnows and various crawdad patterns! Forrest with a HUGE Ozark smallmouth! To see more big fish pics, check out Forrest’s Facebook Page or his website.
