Beaver Tailwater - March 16, 2010

Mike W. and I fished Saturday at Beaver Tailwater and walked in at the turn-around. Fishing was pretty good and Mike nailed several in the moving water on a soft hackle before going to nymphs in the deeper water. I did best on a size sixteen Bead Head Pheasant Tail Nymph and caught some on a size eighteen silver bead, silver wire, grey thread Zebra Midge. The action was pretty good despite freezing temps, rain and wind. We probably caught fifteen to twenty each in about four hours of fishing. It was too cold to take a camera, but thought you might want the info. Larry Thanks for the report, Larry, and congrats on some good low-water fishing! All of the lakes are FINALLY back in their power pools, so we are starting to see some significant low water on our tailwaters, and the wade fishing has been excellent!
